A New Chapter

Eventually, life required me to put Happy Little Heart to the side. For a long time, reopening stayed in the back of my mind. I knew I wanted to come back to it, but there were other priorities that needed my attention first. And I’m actually grateful for that time away, because when I finally felt ready to return, my reason for coming back had changed. I realized Happy Little Heart could be more than a creative outlet or a candle business.

It could also be a way for me to share my faith.

Faith at the Heart

I was born and raised Christian, but more recently, I began reevaluating and deepening my own relationship with Christ. As my faith became more intentional, I started thinking differently about Happy Little Heart, too. I realized I could take something I already loved—creating beautiful candles—and use it to share messages of faith, hope, encouragement, and light with the people who bring them into their homes. That realization made reopening this business mean so much more to me. Faith doesn't have to be limited to one part of our lives. It can be woven into the things we create, the way we serve others, the gifts we give, and even the small moments we create inside our homes.

And that is something I hope you feel here.

Made With Heart

For me, candle making is a little like putting together a piece of art. It starts with an idea—a story, a feeling, a fragrance, a color, or a message—and slowly, all of those individual pieces come together to create something someone else gets to experience. From developing fragrance combinations to choosing the vessel and designing the finishing touches, I love seeing an idea become something tangible. But my favorite part is knowing that once it leaves my hands, it becomes part of someone else's life. Maybe it's burning beside you while you read your Bible in the morning. Maybe it's glowing during dinner with your family, sitting beside you while you unwind after a long day, or wrapped up as a gift for someone you love. Those ordinary little moments are what make creating these candles so meaningful to me.

A Little About Me

When I'm not pouring candles, I'm a mom to an almost seven-year-old and I work with special needs students. I’m also a huge home décor lover, an enthusiastic gift giver, and the kind of person who can almost always find a reason to light a candle. Give me a good book or a crime documentary and I’m happy—but more than anything, I love spending time with my family and closest friends. Home, faith, family, creativity, and the people I love are a huge part of who I am, and naturally, they've become a part of Happy Little Heart too.

From My Heart to Your Home

This chapter of Happy Little Heart feels different from the first. I'm not simply reopening an old business. I'm building it again with a new sense of purpose. My hope is that you come here for a candle you love, but leave with something more—a story that speaks to you, a reminder you needed, a meaningful gift for someone you love, or simply a little light for your home.
