From selecting the wax to allowing each candle time to cure, we believe that quality cannot be rushed. Here's a look behind the scenes at how every candle is made before it arrives at your doorstep.
It All Starts with Premium Soy Wax
Every candle begins with 100% plant-based soy wax, chosen for its clean-burning properties, long burn time, and renewable source.
One of the reasons we love soy wax is that it performs best when it's given the time and attention it deserves. Rather than rushing production, we carefully melt and pour our wax in small batches, allowing us to monitor every step of the process and ensure consistent quality from one candle to the next.
Small Batch Production Makes a Difference
Mass-produced candles are often manufactured by the thousands in large industrial facilities. Our approach is different. We intentionally create our candles in small batches because it allows us to:

Small batch production may take more time, but it allows us to focus on craftsmanship instead of speed. Every candle is individually poured, inspected, and prepared by hand.
We Use Non-Toxic Fragrance Oils
Fragrance is one of the most important parts of any candle—but so is choosing fragrances responsibly. That's why we use high-quality, non-toxic fragrance oils that are formulated to create beautiful scents while supporting a cleaner home environment.
Our fragrance oils are selected for both performance and quality, helping create candles that smell wonderful whether they're burning or simply sitting on your shelf.
Why We Use a 8% Fragrance Load
One of the questions we're asked most often is: "How much fragrance is actually inside a candle?" For every one pound of soy wax, we use 8% fragrance oil.
This fragrance load provides an excellent balance between:
Strong scent performance, even burning, wax stability, excellent hot throw, and a beautiful cold throw.
Using the proper fragrance percentage is incredibly important. Too little fragrance can result in a candle that barely produces a scent. Too much fragrance can negatively affect how the candle burns, cause excess oil to separate from the wax, or reduce overall performance.
Our carefully measured 8% fragrance load helps each candle perform the way it was designed to.
Precision Matters Throughout the Entire Process
Making candles is both an art and a science. Throughout production, we pay close attention to:
Wax temperatures, fragrance incorporation, mixing times, pouring temperatures, cooling conditions, surface appearance, and wick placement.
Even small changes in temperature or timing can affect how a finished candle performs. By carefully controlling each step, we help ensure every candle burns evenly and distributes fragrance consistently.
Every Candle Needs Time to Cure
One of the most overlooked parts of candle making actually happens after the candle has been poured.
Freshly poured candles may look finished, but they're not ready to burn just yet.
Soy wax needs time to cure. During the curing process, the wax and fragrance oil continue bonding together on a molecular level. This allows the candle to develop a stronger scent and improve its overall burn performance.
For soy candles, we allow them to cure for approximately 10 to 14 days before shipping. This waiting period helps improve:
Hot throw (the fragrance while burning)
Cold throw (the fragrance before burning)
Burn consistency
Overall candle performance
While it can be tempting to ship candles immediately after pouring, giving them adequate curing time produces a better experience for our customers.
We believe the extra patience is worth it.
