A Fragrance Inspired by Promise, Provision & the Goodness of God
“So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

There are some verses in Scripture that feel like more than words on a page. They paint a picture. Exodus 3:8 is one of those verses—and it is the inspiration behind Hearth + Honey.
When God spoke these words to Moses from the burning bush, the Israelites were living under oppression in Egypt. God had seen their suffering, heard their cries, and remembered His covenant. He wasn't simply promising to remove them from something painful. He was promising to bring them into something better—a good and spacious land, flowing with milk and honey.
That distinction is part of what makes this passage so meaningful.
God's promise wasn't only about escape. It was about deliverance, provision, restoration, and a future.
Throughout Scripture, honey often appears alongside imagery of goodness and abundance. The Promised Land is repeatedly described as a land flowing with milk and honey, becoming a beautiful reminder that God was leading His people toward what He had prepared for them. And yet, the journey from Egypt to the Promised Land wasn't immediate. There was wilderness in between.
There were moments of uncertainty, waiting, fear, and learning to trust God one day at a time. The Israelites didn't always know how their story would unfold, but God continued to provide for them and lead them forward. That same message appears throughout the Bible: God's presence and provision aren't limited to the destination.
In Exodus 16, God provided manna in the wilderness when His people needed food. In Deuteronomy 8, Israel was later reminded not to forget the God who had led and sustained them through the wilderness. Psalm 34:8 invites us to “taste and see that the Lord is good,” while Psalm 119:103 describes God's words as sweeter than honey.
That is the heart behind Hearth + Honey.
Hearth represents warmth, home, refuge, and the comfort of having a place to return to.
Honey represents sweetness, provision, abundance, and the goodness woven throughout God's promises.
Together, they tell a story of being cared for, carried through, and reminded that even when we haven't reached the destination yet, God is still present in the journey.
